History
In 1972, the Taiwan Government imposed a 60 year ban on tree logging due to disastrous affects deforestation of Taiwan's limited wood resources.
At the time, Mr. Chang, founder of Puli Paper Co., Ltd., presided over a successful tree logging machinery business, providing specialist machinery to haul logs from one mountain top to another by use of pulley machines and other ingenious methodologies.
When the ban was imposed, this thriving business came to a halt. Mr. Chang, along with his family seized the opportunity to get involved in the import and export of paper and related machinery.
With a good understanding of the machinery business and tree by-products, the natural course to follow was to produce paper products. With time and dedication, Puli Paper has now become one of the largest producers of specialty paper in Taiwan and serves countless clients around the world.
